Reviews for Thongsmith Central Ladprao 2nd Floor
Review highlights
Based on 702 reviewsThongsmith Central Ladprao 2nd Floor is recognized for its premium quality boat noodles, often praised for fresh, tender beef and generous portions, including specialty cuts like beef tongue. While some customers note the somewhat higher price point compared to typical street vendors, many consider the quality and flavor worth the cost. The restaurant also receives positive remarks for its appealing desserts and attentive, friendly service. However, the popularity of the outlet can lead to longer wait times during peak hours. Overall, Thongsmith is viewed as a reliable destination for those seeking a refined boat noodle experience, combining quality ingredients with satisfying taste and good customer care.
The beef noodles (both soup and dry) may not very good as you may expect. It is pretty so-so, and you could easier get a better beef noodles from neighbourhood stalls. However, their desserts are really good, the service from the waitress are very attractive and helpful.
Another branch of Thong Smith boat noodle brand under iBerry Group. Good quality & tasty though pricey.
I thought for a long time I want to eat waterfall/boat noodles good beef Will set the price a bit higher, I agree. Until finally found this shop, yes. The meat is fresh, rotting, very good. It gives a lot of meat. Big pieces. Super soft. Most importantly, the beef tongue is very cool. I think it's not expensive because the boat noodles on the roadside don't have good beef like this. Order the normal beef. That's all. The fried dumplings were super delicious , the sauce was good. Narrow/pork cartilage to pass through and fry well.
Thongsmith is my go-to boat noodle restaurant. Anyway it was my first time at this location and the food was up to its usual standard, except for the long wait in the queue.
Thongsmith has become a household name for premium Thailand Boat noodles. The restaurant uses highest quality ingredients like wagyu beef or kurobuta pork with customized spicy levels. It becomes very popular regardless of rather high prices. It’s a great boat noodle and one wouldn’t be disappointed.
I have to admit for the longest time I thought this place is just overhyped. I’ve been here a few times before and thought it was really good but not spectacular. Compared to the cheaper outdoor boat noodle restaurants I would always support small mom and pop businesses. But tonight my wife wanted to go again. Instead of the usual regular (and cheaper) beef boat noodle I splurged this time for the Australian Wagyu sliced beef with tendons and brisket. It was delicious. There was plenty of sliced beef but not enough tendons and brisket though. The soup broth was really tasty and flavorful. The bowl came out to 329B. It’s not a big bowl but I wasn’t too hungry it hit the spot.
The best boat noodles I’ve had even including ones from real canal market ones. I got noodle refill (like Kaedama for tonkotsu ramen), and had it medium. For a Japanese palate, it’s still too spicy but tasty.
A must visit place if you wanna add a premium taste to your usual boat noodle experience. Order the premium wagyu beef mix boat noodle which cost slightly over 500฿. Worth every penny as the beef is so tender and nice. Ordered the add-on crispy pork skin that melt in the soup. No regret.
